Considering the fact that I haven't posted anything in the last three weeks and the last thing that was up was the devastating news of Ryan Smyth's departure I thought I would let everyone know that I am completely over it. I am over the fact that $100 000 was all that separated the two sides, that following his departure the Oilers have dropped 9 straight, add the one prior to his flight and you have yourselves one loss short of the longest losing streak in Oilers history. We did get a point tonight! But really folks having only 5 true defensemen hurts as does having a flu bug ravage the team. 11 regulars were out of the lineup tonight for the Oilers. 11! Those who blame the coaching staff should really shut it, let's be honest there isn't any coaching staff that could do anything with a team so emotionally and physically destroyed.
This spring shall greatly pale in comparison to the intense Cup run of a year ago and so I search for the Cinderella that I can cheer for this year. Go Habs.

Never lose faith Nick, stick with your team. Although it is nearly impossible for them to make it with, well... the losing, but don't lose heart!! I proudly cheered for the Oilers at the game tonight even though they still lost. Saty strong brother!!
